| Key inclusion criteria | Patients aged >65 years who lived in the local community and attended the accident and emergency department with a primary diagnosis of a fall. |
| Key exclusion criteria | Cognitive impairment defined as a score of <7 on the abbreviated mental test and with no regular carer. |
