Study objectives	The feasibility of a proposed large-scale study to evaluate the effectiveness of liaison psychiatry in general practice by randomly allocating GP practices to (a) psychiatric services delivered to primary care (experimental group) and (b) psychiatric services delivered in secondary care (control group), will be examined in the study.
