Study objectivesThis project examines the acceptability, effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of different methods of implementing clinical guidelines for hypertension in primary care, by means of a randomised controlled trial of financial incentive and /or behaviour modification. Both quantitative and qualitative methods will be used to explore fully issues surrounding the management of hypertension and the implementation of guidelines in primary care.
