The project proposes to test the feasibility of a randomised controlled trial to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of shared care for patients with serious mental illness by randomly allocating GP practices to 1. general practices with a mental health worker (experimental group) and 2. general practices without a mental health worker (control group).
