Study objectivesThe aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of two interventions (enhanced educational audit and feedback and test report reminders) in reducing the number and increasing the appropriateness of general practitioner laboratory test requests, within a factorial randomised controlled trial.
