Intervention | Patients agreeing to participate will be randomly assigned to one of two treatment conditions - Turkington & Kingdon's Normalizing Cognitive Behavioural Programme delivered on a sessional basis (one to one) or normal care. |

Primary outcome measure | Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANNS), IS, DAI, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS), Rosenberg Self-Esteem (RSE). Patients will be assessed on these measures at baseline and retested on all measures at the end of treatment phases. |
